September 19th

I read a lot of blogs and look at a lot of blog
photography. There are some serious photographic
cliches out there that get repeated over and over.

I hereby promise never to post a picture of myself
taking my own picture in the mirror.

I hereby promise never to post a picture of my feet
from above with one awkwardly turned in.

..never to post a picture of red weatherbeaten barn boards
(ok, I might post that)

Rock My World

Ok
My world has been rocked.
I got my new camera lens today.
WHAT a difference.

This was taken with a dim bedside
lamp and no flash. This lens ROCKS.

There are 2 other lenses I am saving
for... can't WAIT!!!


***oh, and the two cuties sleeping on the
bed together ain't so bad either...

zoo

A chilly drizzly day is PERFECT for the zoo.
There were very few people and no crowds to navigate.
Auggie held on to Crunchy Dog while he watched
from the tram.
The animals were out enjoying the cool weather.

A baby monkey seemed thrilled to have people
to show off for... He climbed a long rope and
swung right into the window where we we standing.
He smacked into it with his feet, bounced off, and
swung away. This game was repeated over and over
much to his and our delight.

I can't wait until Auggie is old enough to enjoy
watching the animals.

Pods

It was pouring rain this morning.
I lay in bed with all 4 dogs while the baby napped.
Did you read that... NAPPED... yes, I finally have
a baby that takes naps. Now we have to work on
nighttime sleep a little.

I was afraid that taking care of 2 extra dogs might
be overwhelming, but it is kind of fun- like taking
care of a herd.


By afternoon it had warmed up and Auggie and
I got outside for a little walk.
I don't love winter, but these seed pods were a
beautiful expression of fall.

False Eyelashes {self portrait challenge}

PJ bottoms most of the day.
I look SOOO tired.


..Sick of my eyes looking small and swollen
with lack of sleep.

In the bathroom I caught sight of
some false eyelashes purchased on a whim.

Why not?

No one noticed, but they were silly and
made me smile

Next time I want to find the kind with
glitter on the tips!

What I Wear-Self Portrait Challenge

Jeans
T-shirt
Dog fur covered jacket
Fun socks (and they actually MATCH!)

I don't dress up at all these days.
Layers are a pain
Accessories like scarves will TOUCH me.
Earrings dangle and then my ears swell.
The only ring I wear is my engagement ring.

I am finally starting to fit back in my pre-maternity
clothing so maybe I'll be able to look at clothing as
something fun again instead of "Oh lordy, what am I
possibly going to wear that might be passable?
