Fishing

Ben wanted to go fishing.
We got him his very own rod.
Dave showed him how to put bait on the
hook, and they practiced casting.
We sat together on the river bank and
ate our lunch- a special request of
"Peanut butter & jelly sandwiches
with the crusts cut off and little goldfish
crackers".

We didn't catch any fish, but we saw a really
neat little frog.. All in all I'd say it was
a successful first fishing trip for a 4 year old
little boy.


P.S. While this lovely scene played out between
Ben and Dave, I was off to the side trying to cast
my line and continually hooking the bush behind
me.
