The Drive In

We all piled in the car
Uncle Bob drove- he was probably only
about 18 at the time...
Loud and rambunctious
Blankets over our lap
Popcorn spilling as we happily munched
I remember elbowing my sister to MOVE OVER
A LITTLE
We laughed and joked and prodded one another.
We hooked up the little speaker thing to the car
and the drive in movie began

It was either Herbie the Love Bug or Herbie Goes Bananas
I'll never forget how cool I thought going to a drive in movie was!

I hope Auggie gets to do fun things like that with
Uncle Bob too!
