Sink Bath

Dave gave Auggie a bath in the sink this afternoon just to wipe
off the after dinner crud. It's amazing to remember how little he
used to be in the sink!

More and more I feel aware that things are going to change so drastically.
With the new baby, Auggie and I won't have these long days to hang out
and play by ourselves. I'm trying to make the most of these lovely summer
days together.

Yesterday we inflated the baby pool.

Here Auggie!!- I hand him a big bucket full of landscaping rocks, knowing
that throwing rocks into water is one of his favorite things to do.

ROCKS!!! he screams and runs across the yard AAAAAAA (screaming
appears to be linked to running)

In go the rocks
One, two, THREE- plunk
one after another
One, two, THREE- plunk

In goes some sand from the sandbox in streaming handfuls.

In goes the Tonka dump truck, the buckets, shovels, suntan lotion,
and his shoes.

He moves to the other side of the pool and throws in a deflated basketball.
SPLASH- (I am now wet)
Daisy catches wind of this and comes careening around the side of the garage
and DIVES into the pool to get the ball
SPLASH (I am now completely soaked)

I'm laughing
Auggie screams with delight
Daisy wags
