Tradition

The news was calling for some potential snow
this evening.

Around here

FIRST SNOW OF THE SEASON=FRITO PIE!!!

We mixed it up a little this year and made
Skyline Chili instead, but had fritos on the
side to make it a little more healthy and well
balanced.

We aren't always good at the traditional holidays,
but we have our own mini celebrations through
the year. First snow is definitely one of them.

So far no snow, but the chili was excellent.

This looks like something out of a very beautiful cook book.

The bowl is pretty too.

Yummy food

mmmmm frito pie...
you know, in texas, at little league bb games, the serve it right in the little frito bags. they ladle chili right into the bag, put a plastic spoon in it and off you go.

on snow days, paul and i usually tromp through the blocks of fresh powder to cvp (that's charles village pub for all of you non-bawlmer peeps). we drink beer and eat yummy bar food and chat with our neighbors.
guess we'll need to think of a new tradition for snow days until liam turns 21. hee...

maybe we'll have to tromp to your house instead!

stay warm!
