Monday

This is what did not happen last night
and as a result
is what we did much of
today.

It was too cold to go out anyway...

Bath with Dad

I came home from shopping and heard
the two of them upstairs splashing around.
I kinda figured they were finishing Auggie's
bath so I didn't want to interrupt in case a
nap might sneak up on the boy.

I heard Dave calling me and got a little worried,
but he was shouting down to tell me that it might
be a good time for me to get my camera.

I am SOO glad he is supportive of my current camera
obsession.

AND he was right
It was a good time to get my camera.

Rock My World

Ok
My world has been rocked.
I got my new camera lens today.
WHAT a difference.

This was taken with a dim bedside
lamp and no flash. This lens ROCKS.

There are 2 other lenses I am saving
for... can't WAIT!!!

***oh, and the two cuties sleeping on the
bed together ain't so bad either...

Saturday

As I putter in the kitchen Dave and Auggie are
making noises and laughing together.
Auggie stubbornly insists on feeding himself
with the spoon, but then jams it too far into
his mouth and cries. The kid's got gusto.

False Eyelashes {self portrait challenge}

PJ bottoms most of the day.
I look SOOO tired.

..Sick of my eyes looking small and swollen
with lack of sleep.

In the bathroom I caught sight of
some false eyelashes purchased on a whim.

Why not?

No one noticed, but they were silly and
made me smile

Next time I want to find the kind with
glitter on the tips!

See what others are wearing

Wonder

AAAh, the look of wonder on my little
boy's face when Dave turned on his new mobile.

I think it is wonderful that Auggie's daddy can
make the moon and stars shine for him.

What I Wear-Self Portrait Challenge

Jeans
T-shirt
Dog fur covered jacket
Fun socks (and they actually MATCH!)

I don't dress up at all these days.
Layers are a pain
Accessories like scarves will TOUCH me.
Earrings dangle and then my ears swell.
The only ring I wear is my engagement ring.

I am finally starting to fit back in my pre-maternity
clothing so maybe I'll be able to look at clothing as
something fun again instead of "Oh lordy, what am I
possibly going to wear that might be passable?

See more self portraits here.

Tooth

Auggie is up again for the 3rd time
in 3 hours. It is 3am and I pull him
into bed next to me so I won't have
to get up again. He grabs my finger and pulls it in
his mouth to suck on...and holy crap!! A TOOTH!
I KNEW he was teething. So many people told
me it was too early (except Nana who agreed
with me he was probably teething).

I KNEW it.

At 18 weeks, Rock Star has a tooth,
weighs in at 16 lbs. 12oz and is 26"
long. As Dave said "Only a couple more
feet and he'll be taller than us!"

Halloween Slide Show

Songs with Alena at the Red Canoe.
Halloween Parade around the block (more like
a cluster than a parade!)
Story time.
Dinner at Grandmom's house and
watching all the trick or treater's...
An exhausting and very satisfying day.

Bonus Grandmom Sharon sent the tux costume to
Auggie and then there was a costume change for
evening. My friend Jill made a monkey costume
that was just INCREDIBLE. The shirt is real
silk and the vest and jacket wool. She is
so talented. This costume was beautiful and
SOO sweet. THANK YOU JILL AND SHARON!

Halloween

Very busy this morning, but much more to come... all about our day and pictures of Auggie, Ben, Clara, Liam and all the
kids we spent Halloween with..

Here is a teaser of the little monkey.

Sigh

I could stare for hours at this perfect little boy napping.

Today I performed the William Tell Overture on his
belly in raspberries.
He laughed and laughed.
Could anything be better than that!?
The sound of his laughter is like nothing else in this world!

ahhh
Have I mentioned that life is good?
